July 16th 2024 Prayer Rally

Bastrop County area and community members gathered together Tuesday evening, July 16th, at the Bastrop County Courthouse Gazebo for a prayer rally to honor the victims of Saturday’s assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in Butler, PA. Organizers said, “A failed assassination attempt on the President’s life claimed the life of an innocent husband and father and critically injured two others, having the potential to drastically alter our history more than it already has. Many local area residents gathered to pray for healing and strength for our nation, for the families and innocent victims of the shooting, and for President Trump to heal physically, mentally and for continued spiritual strength throughout this trying period. The non-partisan, non- denominational event was open to all in Bastrop County.

Additional prayer rallies are being planned throughout the year, to encourage community, state and national healing and involvement to heal the Nation. Organized by pastors and members of local churches and organizations, the “An Appeal to Heaven” movement, and the Bastrop County Republican Party.

Former President Trump Injured

There is no doubt everyone has heard of the unsuccessful assassination attempt on Former President Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania this afternoon. The former President was injured, dropped out of the line of fire, but then stood defiantly with blood streaming across his face as he was escorted safely from the stage.  Sadly this action did take the life of one woman and others present were injured.  We send our heart felt prayers to the Former President and to the families of those lost and injured. May God Bless Donald Trump and the American People.

2024 PRECINCT, COUNTY AND STATE CONVENTION INFORMATION

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Attention Bastrop County Republican voters. In previous election years, our Precinct Conventions have been held the evening of the election at the precincts polling location after the polls closed. This makes for a very long day for those as poll workers, a job, or raising their families.  This year, Bastrop County is conducting county wide elections.

In an effort to reduce costs, planning and logistics, BCRP has combined all of our Bastrop County Republican Party’s “Precinct Conventions” to meet at one location on March 9th, 2024 at 1:00pm. The combined conventions will be held at:

Family Worship Center
2425 FM 1704
Elgin, TX 78621

Each precinct will have its own area in which to hold their convention and will be provided an agenda of items to be covered. To be eligible to attend your precinct’s convention, you must have voted Republican in the Primary, or have signed a Certificate of Party Affiliation.

Republican Ballot Draw a big event

Have you ever wondered how the order of candidates names on the ballot is determined? It is literally the luck of the draw. More succinctly, it’s a two step random draw process, first to determine their order in the draw and second to determine their placement on the ballot. This event brought Republican candidates or their representatives seeking federal, state or county offices together with supporters and spectators Thursday, December 21st. 2023 to participate or witness the draw. Smiles, cheers, and congratulations punctuated the evenings activity of determining the ballot order for the March 5th 2024 Primary Election.
